A volcano is an opening in the earths crust have a crater or a vent where lava, rock, hot vapour and gases that has been erupting for centuries. when pressure builds up eruptions start to occur, causing gases and rock to shot up through the openings of the volcano and filling the air. Eruptions can cause mudslides, avalanches, hot ash flow, lateral blasts and lava flow.
What does a volcano look like ?
Volcanoes and mountain look the same, although they are two different things, a volcano is shaped sort of like a cone and is made up of lava, ash, dust, rock and many other materials brought together over the years.
How does a Volcano form?
Volcanoes form in weak areas in the earths crust.due to the extreme pressure and heat in the mantle of the tectonic plates melts rock and forms liquid rock or magma.Once the magma or lava has reached the vents of the volcano it is called an eruption.
